Grace and Peace to all. I am so excited not only about this blog but about my first book. This blog is one that has been created in conjunction with my book for me to journal my thoughts about the book and other subjects as they come to me. The book is entitled, “Nuggets By Day and Gems By Night”. It is designed to be a month-long devotional. While I was in recovery from spinal surgery the Lord began to speak to me concerning a variety of topics that I then put down on paper and next translated into a book. The projected release date is April 15th (for all us who pay taxes, that date is so not a good one, but never the less…LOL). It is my humble trust and prayer that you will pass the word about the book and generate excitement as the release date approaches. In the devotional you will read a variety of topics ranging from worship to religion to politics. I am sure for some, many of the entries will appear very controversial, but what is a prophet if they do not stir up uncomfortability??? I hope you will journey with me towards the release and be as excited as I am about the blessings I hope that lie within its contents.

The concept of this book is taken from Spurgeon’s “Morning and Evening.” For each day of the month there is a morning starting “nugget,” which is a simple one line “get me going for the day” thought. For the end of that day, there is a “gem,” which is a more exhaustive thought or insight to think on as you conclude your day.
